KNOTTED COAT RACK

The Knotted Coat Rack is a ceiling-mounted object that transforms a simple storage function into a spatial installation. Inspired by textile knots and realised through digital fabrication, it combines playful illusion, functionality and sculptural presence.

The project explores the intersection of traditional craft and contemporary digital fabrication. Inspired by maritime and textile knotting techniques, the rack combines a natural rope with a series of custom 3D-printed bioplastic components that structure and stabilise the object. Designed and hand assembled in Slovenia, the rack combines local materials, digital fabrication and a made-to-order production, blending functionality with sculptural presence. Available in a range of colour combinations.

The project is part of Everyday Objekts, an ongoing series by Urška Sadar and Jure Sadar that translates everyday spatial needs into thoughtful, sculptural design pieces.
